Last load accepted  ½ hour before closing time.

Fees

Standard Disposal Fee - $42 per ton (as of 1/1/14)

  • $12 Minimum fee per load for 500 pounds or less of "regular" refuse.
  • $22 Minimum fee per load for less than 1,001 pounds and greater than 500 pounds of "regular" refuse.
  • Over 1,000 pounds the fee is pro-rated at $42 per ton.

Regular refuse DOES include:

  • Construction/demolition debris - includes shingles but you may also choose the new option of recycling shingles.  Please keep metals and other recyclables separate.

Regular refuse DOES  NOT include:

  • Appliances
  • Tires
  • Computer Equipment/Electronics
  • Recyclable Materials
  • Hazardous Waste

Directions:  The Marathon County Solid Waste Department, Landfill, and Hazardous Waste Facility are located at R18500 Highway 29, Ringle, WI 54471, approximately12 miles east of Wausau on the North side of HWY 29 (1.5 miles east of the Ringle/Q exit.  DO NOT take the Ringle exit.  Continue past Q and turn from the left-hand turn lane directly off of HWY. 29).
