We accept all kinds of appliances. Click here to learn more. Have more questions? If so, call 877-270-3989 before leaving for the landfill. You may bring appliances to either Marathon County Solid Waste Department or Yeager's Salvage Yard.
Beginning February 1 2019 there will be a $10 fee assessed for all appliances.
Why should I recycle my appliance?
Appliances are banned from disposal in WI's landfills, and must be recycled responsibly. The list of appliances includes; refrigerators, freezers, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, microwave ovens, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water heaters, furnaces, or boilers.
Refrigerators built before 1993 can use two to three times more energy than newer, high-efficiency models. To find out how much your old refrigerator or freezer may be costing, visit the Refrigerator Retirement Savings Calculator.
Is your appliance in working condition?
Gently used appliances may be donated to Habitat for Humanity's Recycled Building Materials Facility. Learn more about how to donate here.
