APPLIANCE RECYCLING

We accept all kinds of appliances for recycling.

Fees apply. Refer to the current rates sheet.

Why should I recycle my appliance?

  • Appliances are banned from disposal in WI's landfills, and must be recycled responsibly.  The list of accepted appliances includes; stoves, ovens, dishwashers, microwave ovens, water heaters, furnaces, treadmills, or boilers, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and water coolers.  The items underlined here, contain freon. This material will be removed by a licensed and professional recycler.

  • Refrigerators built before 1993 can use two to three times more energy than newer, high-efficiency models. To find out how much your old refrigerator or freezer may be costing, visit the Refrigerator Retirement Savings Calculator.

Is your appliance in working condition?

  • Gently used appliances may be donated to Habitat for Humanity's Recycled Building Materials Facility. Learn more about how to donate here.
